Coming from a different country, Gui’s curiosity for digital art was majorly fueled by both of his parents that worked and stills works in the advertising industry .
Graduated in a liberal arts High School in Brazil in his mind artmaking was the best way you could express yourself and since his art curiosity aroused, fashion and photography was the two major art source that inspired him. For Gui, there is no such a thing as someone understanding his philosophy and his characteristics through his lenses and his fabrics, his art are the best way to describe himself in terms of colors and shapes. His influences comes from artists like Takashi Murakami, Kaws, Sebastião Salgado, Rhuigi Villaseñor, Virgil Abloh, his dad, Ricardo Polmon that was a photographer in his early life and many others contemporary artists.
His both fashion and photography influences influenced him in the creation of his own streetwear brand called “Not Invited” , where he goes out and take pictures at night where he portrays another passion that he has which is the underground music scene in São Paulo, Brazil.
His philosophy in life and also in art is that beauty is most unique thing someone can have and unique is the most beautiful thing someone can have. His main goal for the future is not only doing what he likes but also trying to express his characteristics to the world by taking pictures that expresses himself and how that can better develop his fashion creation skills.
